DESCRIPTION:BBCA FIDE-RATED RAPID TOURNAMENT\n\nMicro Business Park Hall  50B Greatorex Street\, London E1 5NP\, UK \n\nNear Brick Lane\, in the heart of the East End\n\nDate: Sunday 13 September 2026 \n\nTime: 2:00 pm –7:00pm \n\nRegistration: 2:00pm\n\nClock starts: 3:00pm sharp_\n\nThe British Bangla Chess Association (BBCA) is proud to organise another 6-round FIDE-rated rapid tournament. The venue is a 5-minute walk from Whitechapel\, Aldgate East\, and Aldgate Underground stations.\n\nTOURNAMENT DETAILS\n\nTime Control: 10 minutes + 05 seconds increment per move from move 1. \n\nFormat: 2 separate sections \n\n1.  OPEN – open to all players \n\n2.  MAJOR – For players rated U 1700\n\nRating: The higher of your September 2026 FIDE Rapid or ECF Rapid rating will be used. \n\nIf you have no rapid ratings\, Standard or Blitz ratings will be used. \n\nUnrated players are welcome but will receive 50% of any prize and are not eligible for rating prizes.\n\nPRIZES FOR BOTH SECTIONS\n\nWe are pleased to inform you that the prize money for both sections have been increased although we have kept the entry fee unchanged.\n\n*1st Prize: £100\n\n* 2nd Prize: £60\n\n*Rating Prizes: 6x £35 each for U 2000\, U1900\, U1800\, U1500\, U1200 & U1000  \n\nNo player can win more than one prize. Tied prizes will be shared equally.\n\nAll Junior participants will be awarded a BBCA medal.\n\nENTRY FEE\n\n£25 per player for both sections \n\n£20 discounted for: BBCA members\, adult female players\, and juniors until 18th Birthday. ((Born on or after 2008).\n\nBBCA junior members will pay £15.\n\nTitled Players – titled players\, including GM\, IM\, FM and CM may participate without paying prior entry fee. However\, their entry fee will be deducted from the prize money if they win any prize.\n\nELIGIBILITY\n\nAll participants must be at least ECF Gold members and have a FIDE ID. \n\nDon’t have a FIDE ID?
