About Chess Home
Chess Home is a community site for chess players — the people who travel to weekend opens, play in club leagues, train with coaches, and want a calmer place than a generic social network to talk about the game.
What you can do here
- Find tournaments. Browse upcoming events from official federation calendars and community submissions, with dates, venues and links to the organizer's listing.
- Know before you go. For events with a published player list on Chess-Results, see where your rating would seed and a rough expected rating change. For other events, players can add themselves to a community-built field.
- Train. Solve tactics puzzles on our puzzle page and earn points. Puzzles come from our curated set and the public Lichess puzzle database.
- Connect. Join public groups, find coaches and academies, and read the blog.
Where our data comes from
Event listings are gathered from public federation and organizer calendars and can be corrected by signed-in members, who often know the real venue or round times. Every correction is logged. We link back to the official listing wherever we have one, and we recommend confirming details with the organizer before you travel.
Predictions (seeding, rating change) are estimates based on the standard Elo formula and the published list of players. They are for fun and planning, not official results.
Who runs it
Chess Home is an independent project built by chess players. Questions, corrections and ideas are welcome — see our contact page.
