11 rounds of 25+10 – all play all round robin. 5 sections each with 12 players (U8, U10, U12, U14 and U18). Only players who have qualified from a Gigafinal or the Challengers are eligible. The UK Chess Challenge, proudly sponsored by Delancey, first took place in 1996 and has since grown into one of the largest junior chess tournaments in the world. Over 1 million children have taken part since 1996! The list of previous winners includes several grandmasters and international players.
