The venue is a 5-minute walk from Whitechapel, Aldgate East, and Aldgate Underground stations.   Time Control: 10 minutes + 5 seconds increment per move from move 1.   Format: 2 separate sections OPEN – Open to all players MAJOR – For players rated 1700 and below Rating: The higher of your August 2026 FIDE Rapid or ECF Rapid rating will be used. If you have no rapid rating, Standard or Blitz ratings will be used. Unrated players are welcome but will receive 50% of any prize and are not eligible for rating prizes.   ENTRY FEE: £25 per player for both sections | £20 discounted for: BBCA members, adult female players, and juniors born on or after 1 Jan 2014   PRIZES FOR BOTH SECTIONS: – 1st Prize: £75 – 2nd Prize: £50 – Rating Prizes: 6 x £30 each for U 2000, U1900, U1800, U1500, U1200 & U1000 – No player can  win more than one prize.
